  2.                       ADDRESS DATABASE USERS GUIDE

  4.   Address database is a personal address book organizer that keeps record of
  5. all of your personal and buisiness addresses and phone numbers. It also
  6. keeps a record of birthdays and anniversaries for friends and relatives.
  7. You can print envelopes and mailing labels using the data you enter into the
  8. program. The program will also print a calendar of all birthdays and
  9. anniversaries for the month or any dates you select.
  10.   To run your address database simply copy all files to your hard drive in
  11. the same directory and enter "ADDRESS" at the dos prompt. Help is available
  12. from anywhere in the program by pressing F1. You should have the following
  13. files for the program to function properly:

  32.   Additional files will also be created when the program is executed and
  33. data is entered. The STATES.DAT and STATES.K01 contain data that I pre-
  34. entered for you. If these files are missing you can use the program without
  35. them, the data in these files will eventualy be replaced as you use the
  36. program. If you are missing the REGISTER.FRM you can register by sending
  37. your name and address along with $10.00 to me at the address below. If
  38. you are missing README.1ST, well I guess you would never know it would you?
  39.   If any of the necessary files are missing your copy of the program will
  40. not function properly. I will send you a new copy of the program if you
  41. request one from:

  47.   Also you are encouraged to share this program with others or upload it to
  48. your favorite BBS, however please pass the program along in its original
  49. form. This shareware program functions exactly as the registered version
  50. in every aspect except that it is only capable of ten name entries in the
  51. personal and company list combined. You can enter unlimited phone numbers
  52. and date records for these entries. The registered version of the program
  53. is capable of unlimited entries.
  54.   The first thing you will want to do when you start up the program is view
  55. the personal or company list, you will immediately be prompted for an address
  56. entry because the list is empty. After you enter your first address you can
  57. then enter dates and phone numbers for that name. Addresses for friends or
  58. relatives that contain only a personal name must be entered into the personal
  59. list, while company addresses must be entered in the company list. Addresses
  60. that have both a company and personal name can be entered in either list and
  61. will be displayed in both.
  62.   Also the first time you print an envelope you will be prompted for an
  63. address right after you select the address to be printed on the envelope.
  64. This entry is for the return address and you should enter your address here.
  65. You do not need to print a return address on your envelope if you do not
  66. wish to, however you do need to enter one to the list for the program to
  67. function properly. You will then be able to add more addresses to your return
  68. address list at any time.
  69.   List boxes throughout the program can be scrolled by using the arrow keys,
  70. by clicking the left mouse button on the scroll arrows, or by clicking the
  71. right mouse button anywhere in the top half of the box to scroll up and
  72. anywhere in the bottom half to scroll down.
